FEMA Deploys Search And Rescue Personnel

Flooding

The federal government is working to save lives in Texas as Tropical Storm Harvey pounds the state.  FEMA has more than 400 people on the ground in coastal Texas performing search and rescue operations.  Another 500 people are in the state and will be helping with rescues this evening.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott has also deployed three-thousand National Guard Troops to deal with the fallout from Harvey.  The storm is expected to dump as many as 50 inches of rain on parts of the state over the next few days.
