A 39 year old San Antonio man is accused of leaving his two kids inside a sweltering vehicle, while he was meeting with his probation officer, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Sheriff's Deputies say they spotted the six year old boy and eight year old girl inside the Ford pickup, parked in the garage of the Bexar County Adult Probation Office.
Deputies rescued the kids, and found their father inside the probation office, where he was attending a pre trial meeting related to a DWI arrest.
Christopher Smith was charged with two counts of child endangerment and was taken to the Bexar County Jail, which is right across the street.
He's held on bonds totaling $10,000. The children are okay and were turned over to their mother.
