A woman was killed overnight when she was hit by a car as she attempted to walk across San Pedro just south of North Star Mall, police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
Police say witnesses saw the woman standing in one of the lanes of traffic and say she suddenly darted right into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
The driver didn't see her until it was too late. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating, but, so far, no charges have been filed.
