The death toll has risen to ten in the immigrant smuggling case in San Antonio, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement reports the tenth person died at a local hospital after being rescued from a sweltering trailer parked behind a Walmart store on I-35 and Highway 16 on the southwest side early Sunday.
Eight people were found dead inside the trailer when police and paramedics opened it up. A ninth person died Sunday afternoon and federal officials say the tenth person died today.
James Bradley, the truck driver who is the only person charged in the case, is set to appear in federal court at 11AM to answer still unspecified charges.
