A 35 year old man who police say tried to dash across Bandera Rd. just north of St. Mary's University overnight was killed when he was hit by a pickup truck, police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
The man was wearing dark clothing and the area where he tried to cross the street, the 1300 block of Bandera Rd, is not well lit.
The pickup driver said he didn't see the man until it was too late. Police say no criminal charges are expected.
EMS tried their best to revive the man, who officials say had been drinking, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
