Four Shot When Gunmen Open Fire on a Party in a South Side Park

Four people were shot in a series of events that began when three men got out of a pickup and opened fire on a group of people at a party in a far south side park, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

 Police say a dozen people had gathered at a neighborhood park on Fidelia Ave, which is south of Loop 410 and west of Highway 10, about 3:30 this morning.

Three men opened fire into the crowd, shooting one man.

But the party goers were far from intimidated ,

Police say several people chased the pickup into the street and riddled it with bullets.

The driver sped to South Park Mall where he called for help.

When paramedics arrived, one of the men in the pickup was already dead.  The other two were bleeding from multiple wounds and are listed in critical condition at SAMMC.

The man who was shot at the party is also in critical condition.

Police didn't immediately know what sparked the bloody altercation.
