Here's a clue...if you're shot on the street, call 9-1-1. Don't rely on your buddy's mom to take you to the hospital.
Police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI a man in his 20s was shot twice as he walked down W.W. White Road on the city's east side early today.
But, rather than calling EMS, the victim's friend convince him to let his mother take him to the hosptial.But dear old mom got lost, and after spending a few minutes wandering around Cesar Chavez and I-35 in an apparent effort to find CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital, she finally flagged down an officer who decided to summon an actual ambulance.
The ambulance got the victim to SAMMC where he is in stable condition.
Back that the crime scene, police have no clues about who shot the man, or why. He just told them a car approached and a man pointed a gun out the window and shot him.
