Tornado Damage In North Texas

At least seven people were killed and as many as 80 people injured after storms swept across North Texas late Saturday night and left widespread damage.

The Denton Fire Department said emergency teams were being brought in to the Sanger area to take part in search and rescue efforts.

Cooke County Sheriff Ray Sappington said many of the victims were at a trailer park in Valley View, A nearby gas station was also destroyed. Many people had gone to the gas station to seek shelter just before the storm hit.

Major damage was also reported at Ray Roberts Lake, where the Ray Roberts Marina and motorhomes were destroyed.

A reunification center has been set up at the QuikTrip in Gainesville.

The American Red Cross has set up a shelter at the First Baptist Church Community Center in Valley View.
