Search and rescue teams from Florida are in southeast Texas to support response efforts to the floods of the past few days. The Florida Division of Emergency Management is sending emergency personnel to the area at the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis. Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough thanked DeSantis on social media for the more than 120 first responders who showed up. Keough says they'll be housed in the Emergency Management warehouse for the next two-weeks.
