The Texas State Parks Department is reporting record-breaking attendance to kick off 2024. The parks had more New Year's Day visitors than ever before, and more than the state parks of any other state. More than 8,700 people visited 81 state parks, up from 8,000 visitors last year. The most popular spots this year were Mother Neff, Dinosaur Valley, Brazos Bend, and Huntsville State Parks.
