An investigation is underway after San Antonio police killed a man in a shootout last night. Officers conducted a welfare check on South Flores near Barret Avenue after a tip that a man had told the caller he'd killed a woman. Police found the woman dead at the home. The suspect showed up, rammed into a patrol car, and fired a shotgun at an officer. Seven officers returned fire and killed the man, whose name hasn't been released. Police say he has a history of arrests for violent crimes.
