A suspect accused of shooting a San Antonio police officer is charged with aggravated assault of a public servant. Investigators say 29-year-old Dominick Rubio ambushed Officer Bernal Rodriguez on September 5th near I-35 and Palo Alto Road. Rodriguez was trying to arrest Rubio on two felony warrants when Rubio reportedly wounded the officer in the arm and torso with a shotgun. Rodriguez survived the shooting. Rubio was indicted on Tuesday. If he's found guilty, he could face a longer sentence as a habitual offender.
