A former Republican Texas Supreme Court justice is now one of the prosecutors in the upcoming impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Harriet O'Neill was a lawyer in Houston for ten-years before her election to the 152nd District Court in Houston, and then to the 14th Court of Appeals. She was elected to the Texas Supreme Court in 1998 and returned to private practice after 12-years. The Texas House impeached Paxton in May. His impeachment trial is scheduled for September 5th in the Senate.
