Governor Sued Over Floating Barriers

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is being sued by the owner of a kayaking company. The suit was filed by Jessie Fuentes, who claims Abbott's proposed floating barriers in the middle of the Rio Grande River would cause "imminent and irreparable harm" to his company. Abbott is currently using a natural disaster declaration to place massive buoys in the river in an attempt to stop migrants from crossing the border. Fuentes says buoy construction has already forced him to cancel a number of activities and prevented his company's access to the river. The lawsuit claims the buoys unjustly hurt his business and are unconstitutional.
