The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a close call at the Austin airport on Monday evening. An Allegiant jetliner was making a landing when it came too close to a small plane. The FAA says the planes were within one-point-six miles horizontally and 200-feet vertically. The normal vertical clearance is a thousand-feet. It's not clear whether the small plane was landing, taking off, or in the air. The Allegiant Airbus A319 left the Cincinnati area at 7:23 p.m. and landed on time at Austin-Bergstrom International around 8:34 p.m.
