Texas-based American Airlines has reached a deal with its pilots union after months of negotiations.
The Allied Pilots Association announced on Friday that they have agreed in principle to a four-year collective bargaining contract.
The announcement comes after APA members voted to authorize a strike earlier this month.
American Airlines says pilots will receive "pay and profit sharing that match the top of the industry."
