All but one of the bond measures for local school districts now have the approval of the voters. Southwest ISD, Medina Valley ISD, Alamo Heights ISD, and Comal ISD all got the go-ahead in Saturday's election to proceed with major initiatives. Comal ISD voters rejected one of the district's three bond proposals. The bonds are funded by property taxes, but because of the rise in property appraisals, an increase in tax rates may not be necessary.
