The five-member House General Investigating Committee is unanimously recommending the expulsion of a House member for misconduct. On Saturday, the committee announced its findings that Rep. Bryan Slaton had sex with a 19-year-old staffer in his office, gave alcohol to an underaged person, and discouraged anybody from reporting the incident. The full 150-member Texas House is expected to vote on Tuesday on whether to expel the Royse City Republican from the chamber. The House hasn't expelled a member since 1927.
