A man on trial for a fatal shooting during a Black Lives Matter protest in Austin is found guilty of murder. Daniel Perry was convicted Friday afternoon for killing Garrett Foster in 2020. Perry claimed he shot Foster in self-defense after he drove toward protestors that then surrounded his vehicle. Foster was armed with an assault rifle, but did not fire the weapon.
