The Rangers received some good news on the injury front. Outfielder Josh Smith has no facial fractures after being hit in the face in the second inning of Texas' loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday. Smith did receive six stitches to the lower right side of his face and is dealing with some swelling after the incident. The 25-year-old said on Tuesday that "it's not as bad" as he thought it was going to be and there is "really no pain." Texas manager Bruce Bochy mentioned that the team is not planning to place Smith on the injured list at this time.
