Dozens of people are detained and nearly 60 gambling machines were seized after a raid on two illegal gambling operations on Thursday. Bexar County deputies responded about 5 p.m. to the two locations on West Woodlawn Avenue and Esma Street. The two locations are believed to be linked. Deputies detained 18 people and seized 40 machines at Woodlawn. At the Esma location, they detained 15 people and seized 18 machines. Customers will likely receive a citation, but employees of the sites will face charges.
