San Antonio's Historic Design and Review Commission has approved plans by the Alamo Trust to build a mission gate and lunette in Alamo Plaza. The Alamo Trust worked with the city and the state's General Land Office to design an entrance that will help give context to the history of the Alamo from 1835 to 1836. The mission gate and lunette will be shaped like a crescent. It will stand for three years and then be reviewed again.
