The Athletics scored a pair of runs in the top of the ninth as they beat the Rangers 8-7 in Arlington. Vimael Machin hit an RBI double to tie the game at seven-all, then scored the go-ahead run on a fielding error by Corey Seager. Seth Brown, Tony Kemp and Dermis Garcia all went deep for Oakland, which improved to 52-and-91. Tyler Cyr got the win in relief, while Domingo Acevedo secured his first save. Jose Leclerc was charged the loss in relief for Texas, which fell to 62-and-81. Marcus Semien hit a three-run home run in the losing effort.
