The city of San Antonio is operating nearly three-dozen cooling centers to help residents cope with triple-digit heat in the forecast. The cooling centers were open over the weekend in 24 libraries and two community centers. Another nine cooling centers open today in senior centers around the city. All cooling centers will operate during normal business hours. More information is available at the San Antonio Office of Emergency Management website.

A Heat Advisory will be in effect for most of the area. The National Weather Service says those spending prolonged periods of time outdoors are urged to stay well-hydrated, in addition to wearing light-colored clothing and taking frequent cooling breaks.
