Two Texas A&M students are suing a fraternity for injuries they reportedly suffered during a hazing incident. Patrick Close and Jose Figueroa filed suit in Harris County last week against Sigma Alpha Epsilon, the frat's A&M chapter, and individual members of the frat. After Close and Figueroa pledged SAE in spring 2021, they were reportedly subjected to a hazing in which an industrial-strength cleaner was poured on them. The suit claims both students suffered such severe burns that they required skin grafts and are disfigured. The plaintiffs are seeking at least a million-dollars in damages and a jury trial.
