Metro Health is urging residents to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as hospitalizations continue increase in the area. Mayor Ron Nirenberg warned that the Delta variant puts the unvaccinated at greater risk of being infected, which could lead to serious illness. The mayor also issued a call to the more than 120,000 residents who only got one dose of the vaccine, stating that it's never too late to get your second shot. The city has set up several vaccination clinics across the area this week, and will begin a new schedule at the Alamodome on Friday.
