Newly released government data shows Texas is one of the top recipients of federal loans for small businesses hurt by the pandemic. Texas businesses received about 41 billion dollars from the Treasury Department under the Paycheck Protection Program. Another 68 billion went to companies in California. The Trump administration has been under pressure from Congress for more transparency regarding the program.
