Bexar County Sheriff Takes Steps Following Crime Uptick On Northeast Side

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office says a Mobile Command Post was recently set up on the northeast side following a rise in crime in the area. Sheriff Javier Salazar says the mobile center was positioned in a parking lot on Farm-to-Market 78 and Walzem Road because of a "dramatic increase" in violent crimes. The sheriff said recent incidents including four alleged instances of deadly conduct in the area made the increased presence necessary.
