Ramon Thomas Villagomez

A man who hijacked a DART bus in Dallas on Sunday is dead after a shootout with police at the end of a chase. Garland police identify the man as 31-year-old Ramon Villagomez. He commandeered the bus in Richardson, then led officers on a chase through Garland, Rowlett, and Rockwall. Police used spike strips to stop the bus on President George Bush Turnpike, and Villagomez was killed in an exchange of gunfire with officers. He was also wanted for the murder of his girlfriend in San Antonio and assaulting a relative in Brazoria County.
