Governor: Homeless In Austin 'Doing A Better Job Governing Than The City'

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is once again taking Austin city leaders to task over the city's homelessness crisis. Abbott sent multiple tweets about the city's homeless situation over the weekend after posting an article about a man arrested for threatening children at a local church playground. Abbott said police aren't being given the resources they need and he added the homeless are governing themselves better than the city of Austin. The governor again said he'll work to get a bill passed addressing the issue. Abbott also reminded Austin residents that they have a say over who's on the City Council.
