Hearing Continues Into Drainage Of Lakes Plan

A hearing continues today at the Guadalupe County Courthouse in Seguin concerning the fate of four Hill Country lakes. A judge last week put a temporary hold on the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority's plans to start draining the lakes today. Lakeside property owners are suing the agency to prevent the action. At a hearing on Wednesday, a judge issued a temporary restraining order on draining the lakes while he considers the property owners' request for a temporary injunction. The judge is expected to rule on the injunction request sometime this week.
