Baby King Jay’s Death Ruled Homicide

The official cause of death for Baby King Jay Davila has now been released.

The 8-month-old was reported missing last month after his father Chris Davila said he was taken from a gas station parking lot.

Days later, on January 11, Davila led police to where the baby was found wrapped in a blanket inside a backpack.

The Medical Examiner’s office has said the death was caused by blunt-force injuries, ruling it a homicide. Several family members have been charged in the case, including the boy's father.

A community memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Christian World Worship Center on 6633 Walzem Road.
