Mexican Pipeline Explodes, Killing At Least 60

Mexico pipeline explosion

At least 60 people are dead after a gas pipeline exploded in Mexico. The explosion occurred Friday night about 80 miles north of Mexico City, after someone apparently drilled an illegal tap to steal fuel. Dozens more were reportedly injured in the blast.  President Andres  Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Twitter that he had called on the whole  government to provide assistance to the people at the site. Mexico is going through a gas shortage, with long lines at stations around the  country and criminal gangs siphoning gas from pipelines.  Fuel theft  cost the Mexican government over three-billion-dollars last year.
