The Bexar County Medical Examiner says two people, a woman and a six year old girl, were found dead inside a burning home in Alamo Heights, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Officials say the fire badly damaged the rear of the home on Inslee Ave, which is just west of Broadway about six blocks south of Alamo Heights High School.
The first arriving fire crews were able to knock down the fire, but then found the 67 year old woman and six year old girl inside the home.
Both were pronounced dead after being rushed to SAMMC.
The cause of their death was not immediately released.
Fire crews say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
