Camp Bullis Manhunt Suspect Arrested, Facing Multiple Charges

The fugitive who sparked a massive manhunt in far northwest San Antonio two weeks ago, leading to a 24 hour lockdown of Camp Bullis, has been arrested in a home not far from where the manhunt began, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police Sergeant Michelle Ramos says Robert Kaleb Lynch, 28, was arrested at a home on Carrie Louise Street, just east of I-10 and right at the place where he bolted from police who saw him driving a stolen truck.

"This was an anonymous tip, we are very grateful that the community did provide information on his whereabouts," Ramos said.

Lynch appeared to mumble something about apologizing to 'the people I harmed' as he was being perp walked out of police headquarters last night.

Ramos says the investigation into Lynch's escape and the nearly two weeks he spent in hiding is still going on.

"We do believe that the home he was located in, he may have known the individual," she said.

Officials said Lynch is facing a long list of charges, from burglary of a habitat and theft in connection with 'multiple home invasions' in Bandera County, and since his escape, Lynch has been charged with additional felonies to include felon in possession of firearm, theft of a firearm, and failure to comply with sex offender registration conditions.

He first escaped from a deputy in Bandera County, where many of the offenses took place.  When San Antonio Police saw him in the area around Camp Bullis, he ran from an officer who was questioning him and vanished into the rugged terrain around the militiary post.
