Loyola-Chicago's Sister Jean Sets Bobblehead Record

There is more than one Cinderella Story coming out of Loyola- Chicago's run of upsets in the 2018 NCAA tournament.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum revealed the official Sister Jean Bobblehead on Friday. In a little over 40 hours pre-order for the official bobblehead smashed the previous record for a single Bobblehead with over 3,500 orders placed.

Sister Jean, the 98-year-old team chaplain for the Loyola Ramblers has become one of the biggest stories and viral sensation of the tournament. Twitter announced Sister Jean was the most tweeted about person on the opening Weekend of the Tournament. Even Charles Barkley is a fan and is set to meet Sister Jean next week in San Antonio, although with “limitations.”

On Saturday Sister Jean was sporting a pair of custom Nikes with her name emblazoned on the heels of the shoes.

This is not Sister Jean’s first bobblehead. The original versions were given away at games in 2011 and 2015 and are now selling on eBay for roughly $300.

The Sister Jean Bobblehead is available for pre-order for $25 ($8 SHIPPING) at the Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bobblehead benefit the Loyola Athletic Fund and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
