Trump Details Why He Didn't Release Democratic Memo On Russia Investigation

President Trump is detailing why he  chose not to authorize the release of the Democratic memo on the Russia  investigation.  On Twitter this morning, Trump said the Democrats  submitted "a very political and long response memo which they knew would  have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House  for lack of transparency."  The President added he told them to re-do  the memo and send it back in proper form.  The document is a response to  a Republican memo released last week that alleged that biased members  of the FBI helped secure a surveillance warrant against a former Trump  campaign adviser.

The House Intelligence Committee voted  unanimously Friday to send the memo to the White House, with the aim of  having it released to the public.  Democratic members of the committee  claimed the GOP memo gave an incomplete picture of the investigation  into alleged Russian influence on the Trump campaign.
