High Speed Two County Chase Ends on San Antonio's North Side

A routine traffic stop turned into a wild two county police chase this morning, which reached speeds of 100 mph down I-35, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

New Braunfels Police tried to pull over an SUV in the 1100 block of I-35 this morning, but the driver refused to stop, heading southbound at high speed with police in hot pursuit.

The chase headed down I-35 to Solms Road, and then sound around until it got onto Smithson Valley Road, then to Highway 281 Southbound into San Antonio where the SUV pulled onto TPC Parkway.

The vehicle then left the pavement near Lookout Road and ran into a ditch. Both people inside jumped out and tried to run.  A 37 year old woman tried to run but was captured by Live Oak Police.

The man, identified as George Fuentes, 30, remains missing.

Maybe a clue to why he declined to pull over...Police say Fuentes is wanted for parole violation, and is considered armed and dangerous.
