For the second time in less than a week, an inmate at the Bexar County Jail has died while in county custody, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The Sheriff's Office says a 26 year old female inmate was rushed to the hospital last night due to a 'medical emergency.'
The woman was pronounced dead at Downtown Baptist Hospital.
The Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division is investigating.
Last week a male inmate hung himself in a restroom in a booking area of the jail.
