No Victims Found in Burned Home, Remains Will be Demolished

A San Antonio Fire Department cadaver dog came up empty today in her search for victims of that fire that destroyed a west side home overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The cadaver dog was brought in as a precaution.  Firefighters on the scene last night said they didn't think anybody was inside the vacant home, but neighbors of the house in the 2600 block of West Houston reported it was a hangout for criminals, drug users, and squatters, so they wanted to make sure none of them was hurt.

After arson investigators have finished their probe of why the fire started, a Fire Department spokesman says the remains of the house will be demolished as a hazard to the neighborhood.
