Motorcyclist Leads Police on High Speed Chase Completely Around Loop 410

A motorcyclist is under arrest after doing the 'Full Loop,' leading police and Sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase completely around Loop 410, News radio 1200 WOAI reports.

A deputy tried to pull over the motorcyclist at Loop 410 and Somerset Rd. on the south side about 12:30 Monday morning, but instead of stopping, the biker stepped on the gas.

With deputies and police officers in pursuit, the chase reached speeds of up to 90 miles an hour.

The chase wound completely around Loop 410, all 53 miles of it, until the motorcyclist ran out of gas almost exactly where the chase had begun, at 410 and Somerset.

The man is charged with reckless driving, evading arrest, and other charges.

Deputies say they have no idea why he ran.  He doesn't have any warrants out for his arrest, and he was facing, at worst, a $100 traffic ticket.
