Working in pizza places continues to be risky business in San Antonio.
Armed robbers attempted to hit two more north side pizza joints overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI's Michael Board reports.
The first robbery attempt happened when a gunman with a bandana over his face attempted to barge into the Papa John's restaurant in the 2300 block of Northwest Military. Police say the doors were locked, and the would be robber fired a couple of shots but failed to get in, and ran off.
About ten minutes later, what is believed to be the same guy muscled his way into a Little Caesar's pizza near Wurzbach and Vance Jackson. This time he got inside and successfully made off with cash.
Earlier this week, a north side Papa John's manager was shot by a robber. Last month, a Papa John's delivery driver was run over and killed by a man who was stealing his delivery car from the parking lot of an apartment complex near UTSA..
