Two San Antonio Police Officers shot and killed a man in a wheelchair overnight, 1200 WOAI's Michael Main reports.
It began in the 1000 block of Ruiz just west of downtown, when police were called for a shooting.
When they arrived they found a 45 year old man in a wheelchair had shot another man in the head.
But when officers began approaching the suspect, they noticed he had a cocked, loaded handgun in his lap.
Officers repeatedly ordered the man to drop the gun, and when he didn't, two officers opened fire.
The suspect was rushed to the hospital where he died.
The man who was shot is hospitalized but is expected to live.
No officers were hurt. As per protocol, the officers involved in the case are on desk duty while the shooting is investigated.
