Detective work by man and beast helped nab a fugitive sex offender in New Braunfels, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

  Police say they got a tip that Damien Christianson, 23, was in the area fo the 1600 block of West Mill Street.

  A K9 officer and his K9 partner were sent into the area.  The dog sniffed out Christianson, and the officer cuffed him following a short foot chase.

  Christianson will be charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a felony.  Police tacked on a charge of evading arrest as well.

  Police credited Crime Stoppers for providing the tip that led to Christianson's apprehension.
