An argument at a near north side party ended in a man being shot to death on the street early today, Newsradio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say a man in his twenties was attending a party in the 900 block of Sacramento, when he got into a disagreement with other party guests.

The man left and went outside, where he called two of his friends to come and help him.

The friends confronted the man and asked why he had beaten up his friend.

While they were arguing outside the house, a car pulled up, a man got out, and opened the truck of the car, pulling out a gun.

The man started shooting.  One of the friends who had come to help his buddy was hit by gunfire and died at University Hospital.

The gunman fled in the car and is still being sought.
