A solider at Ft. Hood has been charged with stealing the high explosive C-4 from the post and trying to sell it, 1200 WOAI news reports.

The U.S. Attorney's office says Tyler Glen Patrick, 23, was arrested in Copperas Cove on Tuesday after he attempted to sell a one and a quarter pound block of C-4 which investigators say he stole from a field exercise at Ft. Hood.

Patrick is charged with possession and transportation of stolen explosive material, a felony.  He remains in custody, and faced ten years in prison if convicted.

C-4 is a moldable plastic explosive which is often used in miltiary operations.
