UPDATE 6/20 7:32pm

A disgraced Opa-Locka cop convicted of false imprisonment and witness tampering is now in custody.

Sgt. German Bosque was picked up by cops Friday morning, just one day after his conviction after his bondsman quit the case.

It's likely the bondsman quit because he was never paid.

The judge initially granting Bosque a $50,000 bond.

UPDATE 6/19 9PM

MIAMI (AP) - A former Opa-locka police sergeant with a long history of misconduct allegations has been convicted of falsely imprisoning a youth counselor who tried to file a complaint against him.

A Miami-Dade County jury found 50-year-old German Bosque guilty on Thursday.

Authorities say Bosque punched Korey Davis in 2011 while responding to a domestic incident between Davis and his baby's mother. Bosque later handcuffed and detained Davis at the police station when he tried to file a complaint. Davis was eventually allowed to leave without being arrested, but he wasn't allowed to file the complaint.

The Miami Herald (http://goo.gl/RRmpRz ) reports that Bosque has been fired six times from Opa-locka but ended up getting his job back five times. Bosque was previously kicked out of the police academy twice and fired from two other police departments.
